AI, also known as Assumed Intelligence

As an end user, ie. not someone who either hosts an instance or has extra permissions, can we in anyway see who voted on a post or comment?

I’m asking because over the time I’ve been here, I’ve noticed that many, but not all, posts or comments attract a solitary down vote.

I see this type of thing all over the place. Sometimes it’s two down votes, indicating that it happens more than once.

I note that human behaviour might explain this to some extent, but the voting happens almost immediately, in the face of either no response, or positive interactions.

Feels a lot like the Reddit down vote bots.

For the purpose of?

Venting? Warning? Praise?

Something else?

It’s really simple to use, and markdown is essentially plain text.

My go-to for this is pandoc, it takes markdown and can generate html, pdf, word, OpenOffice and other formats.

Because it uses markdown, you can use version control and grep on your documentation and include it with your source code.

Multiple camera angles are used for two reasons:

1. Added visual interest. People tend to want variety and colour and movement offered by different views can provide that. This is the obvious reason it’s being used.
2. Ability to edit without it being obvious. Often a presenter will require multiple takes to “get it right”. If you edit in the take, the picture “jumps” because humans move around. If you have multiple cameras you can edit and switch cameras without it looking like an edit. If you then also look at a different camera when you make a mistake, you can keep recording and fix it when you edit it together.

Also, they travel several kilometres for food - blood, so, I’m going out on a limb, but you might need to scale up your efforts if you’re attempting to reduce the local population.

I am part of the Reddit exodus. I’m here because I have no interest in promoting or supporting the atrocious policies that now govern Reddit.

The pace here is different, but the interactions feel more measured.

Based on being online since 1990, I’m comfortable with being an “early adopter”, even though I’ve only been here for a few months and Lemmy is five years old.

Will Lemmy survive? Who knows. The horse and buggy didn’t, neither did Yahoo!, MySpace or Google+, but here we are nonetheless.
