  • Couldn’t tell you what the oldest building in my city is, but I assume it’s either an old house in what I assume is the historic district. That, or the clocktower in the downtown park that was once part of a transcontinental railway station.

On a couple side notes, I know I did a class field trip in elementary school to one of the old buildings (don’t remember much about it besides a service elevator that if I recall was just held by rope and wasn’t electric), which compared to other places in America is nothing considering I found out my city was founded around 1881. Can’t say I approve of the part where they fought the natives for the land, but history is full of horrid things so there’s no use dwelling on something you can’t change.

  • I don’t believe it’s cursed at all, but my parents and older brother believe some small Japanese statue doll thing of a geisha (supposed to be holding a shamisen, but it’s missing) that they ended up giving to me to store in my room is cursed. Since I don’t think it’s cursed, I have no issue holding onto it.

Showed up one day on the dinner table one day and I’m fairly certain my brother got it and was either too drunk or high on weed (or a combo of both) to remember picking it up while he was out. I don’t believe him when he says he doesn’t know where it came from.

  • Absolutely agree with point 2, not just for Mastodon, but others like here on Lemmy or Misskey or whatever it may be.

The process of finding an instance can sometimes be annoying because you might find an instance that sounds alright, like I did for Mastodon, and then find that there’s the problem of sign-ups not available. That, and signing up for the instance I got on then had a waiting period for account review and all that before I could do anything.

I assume, from what I’ve heard, all you gotta do for threads and bluesky is just sign up and start posting with less effort, which is what the majority of people want.

  • There are a couple console games and one in my steam library that absolutely come to mind. As for which I think is worse is definitely up for debate because I think I dislike these 3 equally, even if I can only remember why I dislike two of them.

Don’t remember the exact entry, but I borrowed a Dynasty Warrior game from my brother (who didn’t like it as far as I’m aware) for xbox360 and something about it I just didn’t like at all. Then there’s Worms Blast. For a spin-off of worms, that from what I remember just feels like a worse bubble bobble style game, I was absolutely disappointed.

The Steam game is Macbat 64. By no means is it unplayable, add riddled, or full of annoyances preventing me from playing, but I beat it in less than 50 minutes. It’s a 3D platformer whose relatively small levels pay homage to other games, but it just wasn’t fun for me due to lack of content I was interested in (longer levels with more going on) when it comes to 3D platformers.

  • Never playing games online unless it’s something like an MMORPG like Dofus or Wakfu where interacting with others is completely optional, or unless with a friend. Rule applies to almost every single game I play besides Krosmaga.

By the time I become somewhat decent at a game, I can already guarantee I’ll be consistently paired up with either hackers or people way above my skill grade. Then it’ll drain all the fun. Same reason why back in highschool I only ever really played games like CS:GO with my friend and haven’t touched them pretty much at all in my free time.
