I respectfully disagree, with the caveat that alcohol prices are highly location dependent. $25-50 will get you a great bottle of bourbon, rye, rum, cognac, etc. You’re right that aging drives up the price but you’ll be in good company for the majority of aged spirits. Exceptions being scotch and Irish whiskey but just barely.
